We have continued to work with geometric shapes and identifying shapes in our environment. In this activity, students were asked to find eight different ways to fill a hexagon. First using the wooden pattern blocks, then switching to the stickers to show the eight different ways!

In Writer's Workshop we have been talking about the author's voice. An author's voice is as unique and special as our thumbprints! Here you can see we each left our thumbprints to remind us. We have been talking about how to recognize the author's voice, what feelings and words an author uses to make what they are writing about one of a kind.

Today we talked more about the Wampanoag people. We focused on Native American storytelling, the importance of  pictures as a way of recording events and telling stories. Students wrote their own stories using an example picture dictionary.

Did you know that Harmon is an athlete? He plays four different sports! Harmon loves to eat mac and cheese and likes to go to King's Island.
